10 Things You Can Do on Koh Rong:

If you watch CBS Survivor Series you must have notice a beautiful, dense jungle, pure white sand, and water crystal clear island name Koh Rong (in Khmer language Koh mean island).

Koh Rong is located in Sihanouk Ville Province of Cambodia. It is one of the most beautiful island in the world. So if you plan to visit this island you may want to know where and what you should do to get the most of it during your visit here.

Here 10 things you can do on this island:

1. Trek through the jungle:

You may want to experience jungle trekking and exploring the jungle side of the island. You may found waterfall and small wildlife during your trekking. The trekking should start from Koh Toch village (main beach) to the Sok Sok Beach or Long Beach (longest beach on the island around 7km). You also can rent motorcycle or scooter for driving from Koh Toch village to Sok San Beach. 

2. Visit Sok San Beach (Long Beach):

Sok San Beach or Long Beach is the longest beach on the island (around 6km) it is a peaceful yet beautiful beach and it is our favorite beach on this island. There are also several bungalows and resorts there that offer good place to stay and enjoy your time. We prefer Sok San Beach Resort, they are the best resort that we picked. 

3. Watch Sunset:

If you want to experience the best sunset scenery you might come to the right place. Fresh air, wave sound, white beach, rock, palm tree and the smell of the sea, give you an unforgettable experience while waiting for sunset. 

4. Visit Royal Sand Beach Resort

If you are wealthy, you want to experience luxury resort, this is the place for you. 5. Go Snorkeling

Take boat trip where they will bring you to the snorkeling point. There are many beautiful snorkeling points around Koh Rong. You can try your hand at spotting any of the sergeant fish, seahorses, parrot fish, diamond fish, jumping fish, squid, yellow boxfish, diamond fish, needlefish, blue-spotted ribbon tail rays and goatfish in the waters around the island. 

6. Beach Party and Alcohol

If you like party, alcohol, and music. Visit Koh Toch the main beach on the island, you will find many bars, and pubs that served all those purpose. We recommend you visit Police Beach Party Zone. Plenty of drinks, backpackers, loud music and the party last until morning.

7. See Glowing Plankton

There are several location that you might find glowing plankton at night. So if you have a chance you can go to swim at these location to experience the glowing plankton.

8. Visit High Point Adventure Park

You can visit High Point Adventure Park if you enjoy challenging so can climb the treetops on ropewalks, ziplines, and other height-related obstacles. The cost is around 20USD per person.

9. Kayaking 

Kayak can be rent for around 10USD per day. You can kayak around or kayak from main beach to near by places; or kayaking to the mangrove place near Sok San village.

10. Island hopping 

If you have more time you should join island hopping so that you can also visit the nearby island such as Koh Rong Sanleoum and other nearby island. The activities on the trip also include: snorkeling, fishing, boat tour, and nearby island visit.
